Terms of Service

1. Use of the Service

• You may use the Service lawfully only.
• You must not submit illegal content or use the Service in a way that infringes the rights of others.
• You must not abuse rate limits or attempt to circumvent usage controls.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if you abuse the Service or attempt to disrupt its availability.

2. Service Description

• Ungippity is a text transformation tool. It processes text you submit and returns a modified version with AI tells removed.
• We log your submissions and delete them after 30 days. We use these logs for quality and training while we hold them.
• To perform the transformation, your text is sent to third-party model providers. Their retention policies apply to that data; see our privacy policy for the current list of providers.

3. Tokens and Billing

• New registered accounts receive a one-time 10,000-token trial at signup.
• Ungippity Pro is a recurring monthly subscription priced at $19 / month. Subscribers receive 500,000 tokens at the start of each billing period.
• One token is approximately four characters. Both input and output text count toward your token balance.
• Unused monthly tokens expire at the end of the billing period and do not carry over to the next.
• Billing is handled by Polar, our payment processor. Taxes are calculated at checkout based on your billing location.

4. Refund and Cancellation Policy

• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account page. You retain access until the end of your current billing period; no further charges are made.
• If you request a refund within 7 days of your first subscription charge, we will refund that charge in full.
• Subsequent monthly charges are non-refundable once the billing period has begun.
• If we discontinue the Service, we will provide at least 30 days' notice by email. Pro-rata refunds of the unused portion of the current billing period will be issued where reasonably practicable.

5. Intellectual Property

• You retain full ownership of any text you submit to the Service.
• By submitting text, you grant us a limited, temporary license to process it solely to perform the transformation you requested. We claim no rights over your content.

6. No Warranty

• The Service is provided "as is" with no warranties of any kind.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of transformations. The Service may not catch every AI tell in every context.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

7. Limitation of Liability

• We are not liable any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

8. Price Changes

• We may change our pricing at any time. We will provide advance notice before any price changes take effect.

9. Changes to Terms

• We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service means you accept any changes.

10. Governing Law

• These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
